Coronado Eagle Newspaper Quotes Owner of Coronado Flood Restoration

Article Highlights Fundraising Campaigns for the Coronado Unified School District

In a recent article in the Coronado Eagle, the owner of Coronado Flood Restoration was mentioned as a supporter of the Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) and their many fundraising efforts. Last year, the charitable organization raised over $750,000 for the Coronado Unified School District, and hopes are high to match and exceed this total as the new academic year begins. Parental support is vital to the success of these fundraising campaigns, and the Coronado Schools Foundation is offering many different ways for parents to get involved.

Coronado Eagle Quotation

The Coronado Eagle reports that despite being heavily underfunded by the state, the Coronado Unified School District prospers, mostly due to the generosity and involvement of committed parents.

The Coronado Eagle explained that there are a myriad of opportunities for donation and volunteerism throughout the calendar year. A simple monthly or annual contribution ensures that the students will be supported by the community, which is needed due to the lack of state-allocated funds. A popular method of parental aid is a recommended $25 monthly donation per student, or a one-time annual payment of $300.

Beyond private monetary donation, there are several events put on by the Coronado Schools Foundation that allow different avenues for offering assistance. Business partners throughout the community are teaming up with CSF to organize the Benefit Auction and Spring Connect-a-Thon. The Connect-a-Thon is a unique contribution opportunity, and the Coronado Eagle reported that businesses who participate will receive recognition in a neighborhood directory that is given out to over 1,500 different families throughout the area.

Coronado Flood Restoration’s Quotation in the Coronado Eagle

As a parent of two students in the Coronado Unified School District and a local business owner, Tom Frederick is directly involved in the fundraising efforts of the Coronado Schools Foundation:

“The excellent reputation that Coronado’s public schools have in the greater San Diego community is one of the primary reasons my wife and I moved to Coronado. I joined Rotary as I wanted to give back and partnering with CSF seems like a natural as a parent and community member. We trust our donation to underwrite the 2013 Mini Cooper opportunity drawing will generate thousands of dollars in donations to benefit the students and teachers and one lucky winner will drive the car for the two-year lease with standard maintenance included… I also look forward to the marketing benefits through the Locals Card program as my family enjoys the many benefits afforded to CSF donors and the businesses that support the schools.”

-Tom Frederick, article in Coronado Eagle

Supporting the local school system through this contribution to the Benefit Auction will supplement the already fervent generosity of local parents and business owners. Here at Coronado Flood Restoration, we are proud to support to Coronado Schools Foundation and the Coronado Unified School District.
